What's in a name? A name is both nothing, and everything. A name is category, a label, a definition. It shapes and gives form. It constrains, restricts, and limits. A name is a mold that does not fit, that reveals what you are and what you are not. Look at me, call me a boy, call me a man, call me a lover, a fighter, a demon, a jester, a student, an ethnicity, a citizen, and a spiritualist. None can hope to encompass everything.

Words fail. They are a tragedy.

But one's own Name, that which is them. That, is everything. It is not a definition, it is you. Not just all of you, or some of you. But this Name, one's true Name, is the soul. It is the you that is seen in the corner of the eye, in the shadow of memory, the image brought to mind hearing someone over a phone. This Name is entirely you, all you are, all you have been, and all you will be. It is not a rigid limitation, it is the freedom of being. Of identity. To know one's Name is to know one's own power. To be one's own god.

Find your Name, find your Self. Find your Self, and the world shall follow.

Who am I? I was told I was a shaman. I discovered that I talk. My wisdom is a rabbi's and things occur around me that I can't explain; hello let me introduce myself as Rabbi Copperfield. To those with whom I party I have been known as Cyrus or Idy.

There's a magician, a swordsman, a madman, a Lightning Psych, a ruthless pirate, and a fallen angel all by me; within me. I am a horrible liar, but a master of misdirection. I can bullshit anything. On the flip side I aim to see--to know--to comprehend the whole picture. The entire truth, its whole image. It is how I write, how I perceive, and how I get to know people. I aim to see them, who they are fully. My writing is merely an attempt to transcribe the events that I see in my head. I deal with problems by seeing the bigger picture in order to ascertain the fundamental issue. By seeing the bigger picture I can ascertain how to break that picture back down to its base elements. By then seeing the base elements, what materials exist and how they may manipulated, I can begin to work on it; be it an issue, a problem, or a piece of art. That is how I work.

I do not create from scratch. I take materials that exist and bend them to my own purposes. I do not generate, I manipulate; that is how I create something of my own. I feed on knowledge and love. They energize me, fuel me like adrenaline; they send raging energy through my veins. The application of knowledge through love (or lack thereof) is wisdom. Knowledge tells me what to do, wisdom tells me how to do it. I've learned to trust my instincts--my feelings--and facts. Intuition and reason. When both coincide, I know I'm close to the Truth.

I can be incredibly caring and selfless, and I can be incredibly selfish and cold to a point of ultimate evil. I walk the line, so that I may know both--and try to see beyond them. I am subtle, be it from the shadows or that perverse wrongness that makes the normal picture seem not quite right. I can be incredibly compassionate and patient and wicked as sin. I may at times be too selfless, too giving, and bend over backwards--but spur me wrong and I'll rebel to all the ends I can muster. I can kowtow, and at other times flare with an incredible rogue instinct. I'm a lover, not a fighter, but I will fight for what I love, and don't you forget that.
